This Privacy Policy describes how Freeholder, Inc. ("Freehold," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website at getfreehold.com and our real estate investment analysis platform (collectively, the "Service").

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Generate deal analysis reports in response to your queries
• Authenticate you and maintain your account
• Save your analysis history and portfolio preferences
• Send you transactional emails (magic link sign-in, product updates)
• Respond to your support requests
• Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• Comply with legal obligations

Freehold uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate real estate deal analysis reports. When you submit a property address or listing URL, that input — along with standardized underwriting assumptions — is sent to Anthropic's API servers to generate your analysis.

Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy and API usage terms. We do not send your name, email address, or account credentials to Anthropic. Only the property-related query text is transmitted.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may share your information with:

• Service providers — infrastructure partners (Vercel for hosting, Neon for database, Resend for email) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
• Analytics providers — aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to help us improve the product.
• Law enforcement or legal process — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Freehold or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, provided the successor entity honors this policy.

When you share a deal analysis using the "Share" feature, a unique, unguessable link is generated at getfreehold.com/analyze/[id]. Anyone with this link can view the analysis report without logging in. You can stop sharing by not distributing the link; we do not currently offer a revoke-link feature.

We retain your account data and analysis history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it or where it is necessary to protect legitimate business interests.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database connections, and access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Export your data in a portable format

We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can configure your browser to block cookies, but this may prevent sign-in from working.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
